The Cub Cam - Behind the scenes story of creating this camera system for air-to-air filming…

The Cub Cam is a cinema-grade aerial camera system designed for small fixed-wing aircraft, specifically built for the legendary Piper Super Cub. Built around the Ronin 4D 8K and a custom lightweight vibration-isolation mount, this system enables professional air-to-air and scenic aerial cinematography without the complexity of a helicopter.

This setup is the result of over five years of testing different cameras, mounts, and isolation systems, all built around the Super Cub as the platform. Cubs are the ultimate aircraft for flying in remote areas where we like to shoot, and are already the workhorse of Alaska.
