Drones for government work
NDAA-compliant drone services in Alaska
Mountain Mind Media flies NDAA-compliant drones for federal and state agencies, government contractors, tribal organizations and grant-funded projects across Alaska. Our pilots are FAA certified, and we're registered on SAM.gov and as a State of Alaska vendor.
Why it matters
The American Security Drone Act bars federal money from buying or flying drones made by covered foreign companies, such as DJI and Autel. It applies to federal contracts, grants and cooperative agreements, and it took effect on December 22, 2025. If federal funds pay for your project, the drone has to comply. We fly one that does.

Questions
What does NDAA-compliant mean?
The drone and its key parts, like the camera, flight controller and radio, don't come from companies the federal government lists as a security risk. Federal agencies and federally funded projects have to use compliant drones.
Can you fly Blue UAS or Green UAS drones?
If your contract calls for Blue UAS or Green UAS aircraft, tell us and we'll confirm the model before you book.
Where do you fly?
Anchorage, the Mat-Su and statewide, including remote sites we reach by Super Cub, helicopter or snowmobile.
Can you handle the vendor paperwork?
Yes. Mountain Mind Media is a small business registered on SAM.gov and as a State of Alaska vendor, and qualifies for the Alaska bidder preference. We send insurance and pilot certificates on request.
Have a government or grant-funded project?
Send the location, your dates and what you need to capture. We'll confirm the drone and send a quote. Start a project or call (907) 521-8133.
